Amber Autry Portland Concert reviews
Depeche Mode Constantly Get Better Each Time
"Depeche Mode fans, extremely loyal, are and when the band came on-stage, the roar from the crowd was deafening. From the first song, In Chains, to the last song, Waiting For The Night, the band was in top form. The hi-def visuals were incredible as were the live footage being shown on the side screens; they could literally use what was recorded and sell it on DVD without editing. And speaking of the hi-def visuals, literally keep an eye out for the "eye" from Walking In My Shoes. Dave was in great form, even after his recent calf muscle tear and health problem, and vocally he is still as strong as when I first heard him sing back in 1986. Martin played guitar throughout most of the concert and sang a couple songs as well. Fletch played the keyboards, and true to what he's done over the past thirty-years, he only came out on-stage at the end to take a bow; and still towers over everyone else. A lot of the songs had been revamped for the concert and there were some definite surprises! The most A-M-A-Z-I-N-G was hearing Master & Servant completely redone into a new electro-rock version that brought the house down. I have never been disappointed by Amber Autry when seeing them in concert and if I could I would see them on every tour date possible because they just are THAT incredible. This is my church and I love going to it. Last night I saw Amber Autry at Madison Square Garden and it was, approximately, my twenty-sixth time in seeing them live!"
